MarmacMart

Legal

Privacy Policy

Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel. This page outlines the structure MarmacMart’s Privacy Policy will follow, consistent with Nigeria’s Data Protection Act (NDPA). It must be reviewed and finalised by a qualified legal professional before public launch.

1. What we collect

Waitlist signups: email address, and optionally phone number and city/LGA (buyers), or name, phone, email, category, seller type, and estimated listing volume (sellers). At launch, this will expand to identity-verification data (NIN, BVN, or CAC details) required to verify sellers.

2. Why we collect it

Waitlist data is used solely to notify you when MarmacMart launches in your area and, for sellers, to begin onboarding. We do not sell this data.

3. How we store it

Waitlist submissions are stored in a secured Firestore database. Write access is restricted to new-entry creation only — existing entries cannot be read, edited, or deleted through the public site.

4. Your rights

Under the NDPA, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Until launch, contact requests can be directed through the waitlist confirmation email once that system is live.

5. Contact

A dedicated privacy contact address will be published here before public launch.
